At Marea Viva, words aren’t enough to express our gratitude for the immense wave of generosity we’ve received during this donation campaign. What has happened over these past weeks is living proof that solidarity is alive and strong in Puerto Real, in Río San Pedro, and in every corner of the Bay.

Anonymous individuals, families, neighbors, friends, partner organizations… Everyone contributed—giving what they could, what they had, and what came from the heart. And the result has been deeply moving.

We’ve received mountains of clothing and footwear, carefully selected and lovingly delivered, destined directly for people in vulnerable situations in our community. T-shirts, trousers, polos, sweatshirts, shirts—even workwear like welding overalls. Shoes of all kinds and sizes, which were greatly needed, along with backpacks and even caps. Every item was chosen to meet real needs of those who need them most.

These donations are not just objects—they are tools of dignity for many people going through difficult times. Each garment, each pair of shoes, is reaching the hands of someone for whom it truly makes a difference.

We also received a wide variety of musical instruments: guitars, keyboards, drums, traditional percussion like the atabaque, rainsticks, and shekeres… Instruments that carry culture and will now be passed on to others—many of them young people—for whom music can be a powerful outlet and form of expression.

And as if that weren’t enough, we also received bicycles, school supplies, footballs… even a welding kit! Practical, useful, and much-needed donations that will be given to those who truly need them—to improve their daily lives, to open up new opportunities, to make an often unfair reality a little more bearable.

Each of these items carries a story, a pair of hands that gave it, a hopeful gaze trusting that someone in need will receive it and make the most of it. And that’s exactly what’s happening: these donations are having a direct and tangible impact on the lives of real people, right here in Puerto Real.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making this possible. For thinking of those who need it most. For giving without expecting anything in return.

The campaign is still open. We’re still receiving donations. Because as long as there are vulnerable people in need, we’ll be here. We continue to believe that together, we weave a network that supports, accompanies, and transforms.

If you have something to donate, if you know someone who wants to join in, if you want to be an active part of this wave of solidarity—we’re here, with open arms.

Solidarity isn’t a one-time gesture—it’s a way of being in the world. And thanks to all of you, we know that way is more alive than ever.

Thank you, truly. We carry on.
